The two are buried side-by-side, with their mother just a few feet away. Vinnie’s grave plate has now been officially placed. Pantera’s official Instagram account shared photos, which you can view below: View this post on Instagram Vinnie Paul’s Grave Marker was installed this morning. The Black Dahlia Murder Heading into the Studio This Summer

May 24, 2019 // 0 Comments

You can set your goddamn watch by Black Dahlia Murder albums — the band releases a new record every two years like clockwork. And since their last album, Nightbringers, came out in 2017, we’re about due. So it’s not a shock to hear guitarist Brian Eschbach tell Heavy New York that the band is hitting the studio soon: “We’re writing new music now, and we’re heading into the studio this summer. We’re excited to present some more stuff soon. I don’t think it will have too much to do with the last album, other than it’s the same band playing it. It’s not, like, a sequel or anything [read on]

Protest the Hero’s Rody Walker Honors the Toronto Maple Leafs with New Song “BeLeaf”

May 24, 2019 // 0 Comments

I know roughly about as much about the NHL as I do about performing an emergency tracheotomy with a pen. Having said that, I loves me some Protest the Hero, and I loves me some dad humor, and Rody Walker’s new song, “BeLeaf,” has at least a little bit of both of things (in addition to Walker, the track features PTH drummer Michael Ieradi). Also, it’s actually pretty catchy, if not even a little bit metal. Today in Corey Taylor News: Slipknot Is Reportedly Rihanna’s Favorite Band, and the Meaning of the Title We Are Not Your Kind Explained

May 24, 2019 // 0 Comments

A day without news regarding The Most Important Carbon Based Life-Form to Ever Grace the Planet is not a day worth living, now, is it? So let’s just dive right in… Metal Injection reports that Tim Blanks (who?), a dude who is apparently a big deal in the fashion world (ah-ha!), says that Rihanna’s favorite band is, or at least used to be, Slipknot. Blanks Instagram’d a photo of himself and the pop singer from her Fenty clothing line’s new store in Paris, along with the following caption: “The first time I met Rihanna, she told me her favourite band was Slipknot. SHE’s launching her fabulous new [read on]

Sanctuary Soldiering on Without Warrel Dane; New Tour Dates Announced, New Album in the Works

May 24, 2019 // 0 Comments

It would appear that Sanctuary did not die with Warrel Dane after all. To play catch-up: the renowned vocalist (also of Nevermore fame) passed away from a heart attack, at the far-too-young age of 56, in December of 2017. At that time, Sanctuary already had a tour booked, playing support for Iced Earth, set to kick off in February. Rather than cancel that tour, the band opted to enlist Witherfall frontman Joseph Michael to handle vocals and carry out the performances as both a farewell to fans and a tribute to Dane. Well, apparently, that tour went well — like, really well — ’cause the band has now announced that [read on]

Shit That Comes Out Today: May 24th, 2019

May 24, 2019 // 0 Comments

What does Corey Taylor think of this week’s new releases? Better question, what does he think of the GoT finale?! Something something culturally relevant… okay, anyways… Fleshgod Apocalypse Veleno (NB) Listen “Sugar”  I digress, I’ve never really been in to this band. So unfortunately (or fortunately?), I can’t really offer any meaningful discussion on how Veleno differs from Fleshgod Apocalypse’s other albums. However, I can provide some commentary on the music video I linked above. While images of hookers shooting up heroin is a tried-and-true formula for shock value, what really caught [read on]

Ozzy Osbourne Is Managing His Pain with CBD

May 23, 2019 // 0 Comments

In a new interview with the U.K. talk show Loose Women, Sharon Osbourne, wife and manager of Ozzy Osbourne, reveals that Ozzy is now one of the millions of people who recently saw a CBD product with weed leaves all over the packaging while in line at a bodega and figured, “Fuck it, it’s only a dollar.” As you may recall, Ozzy recently tripped over a shoe while going for a middle-of-the-night piss, thereby aggravating an injury originally sustained in 2003. Consequently, the Black Sabbath frontman had to have surgery and postpone all of his 2019 performances (which would be a huge deal even if this wasn’t his [read on]
