Motionless in White Announce New Album, Release Two New Songs

Motionless in White have announce a June 7 release date (via Roadrunner, natch) for their fifth full-length studio album, Disguise. Pre-orders are here.

In honor of the album’s title, I will now disguise myself (see what I did there?) as a Motionless in White fan listening to the album’s first two singles, the title track and “Brand New Numb.”

“Disguise”

WOW! What an original riff! And the mixing of metal with electronica — I’ve never heard that done before!! And Chris Motionless’ vocals are incredible!!! Can you believe we allow some people to have careers that are dependent on auto-tune when we have a 100% authentic singer like this in the world? His lyrics are, like, way profound, too. And that breakdown! SO HEAVY!!! This may be the best song ever written.

“Brand New Numb”

OH MY STARS AND GARTERS! Never before have I heard a band so expertly mix metal with a foot-tappin’ beat like this. Like, if The Beatles had been a metal band, this is what they would have sounded like (only probably not as good). Also, “I wanna break free from my humanity”? Surely, this is a feeling with which we can all relate. This may be the best song ever written.

Hey. I tried my best.
