Machine Head’s Robb Flynn has posted a mini-documentary about his experience at the 28th annual “Stars to the Rescue” benefit for rescued animals on January 26, 2019 in Walnut Creek, CA. The event is spearheaded by legendary MLB manager Tony LaRussa’s ARF organization (Animal Rescue Foundation) which rescues animals that are in need, and featured a performance by Robb Flynn and Friends playing classic rock covers and more.
The video mostly focuses on Flynn’s rehearsals and preparations for the performance with his “and Friends” band, which we learn featured current and former members of Death Angel, D.R.I. and Forbidden and a string section that included Robb’s own son Wyatt, among several other musicians. Here’s the lineup:
Craig Locicero (Dress The Dead, Forbidden) – guitars
Andy Galeon (Death Angel) – drums, percussion, backing vocals
Brad Barth (Spiral Arms) – keyboards, piano
Zack Ohren (producer, Light This City) – bass, vocals
