Code Orange almost made it through their current tour featuring Twitching Tongues and Vein without any workplace injuries, but sadly, they just couldn’t see it through.
Apparently bassist Joe Goldman will miss the last few dates due to an injury sustained (seemingly) at their Austin show. Here’s what the band had to say:
“Joe suffered an injury that can’t be played through and needs to go home. We are still going to play the [Houston] show with our merch guy [Matt] Barnum from Homewrecker on bass and see how it feels. We apologize and appreciate him.”
For the record, any time anything happens to one of my friends, I’m now going to say, “We apologize and appreciate him” to anyone that’ll hear me.
Obviously, this sucks, and we wish Goldman a speedy recovery. The band only has one date left, tomorrow night in Atlanta, so if you were there to see Goldman play, you’re shit out of luck. Meanwhile, listen to Code Orange’s Jami Morgan’s recent appearance on the MetalSucks podcast.
