Track Premiere: Kingnomad “Cosmic Serpent”

At first, “Cosmic Serpent,” the latest song by Swedish progressive doom rock band Kingnomad, might not seem terribly impressive or different from the hordes of other bands currently in the doom/stoner/psych scene. But as the song unfolds, so too does the magic of this particular band. There’s something about their approach to songwriting, the orchestration and arrangement, the melodies, that made all of us at the MS Mansion take notice and put down our SJW handbooks for just a moment to listen. “Cosmic Serpent” is a seriously catchy song, and there’s something about the way it’s harmonically constructed that’s just… well, interesting. It doesn’t sound like all the other bands. That’s ALWAYS a positive.

Kingnomad will release The Great Nothing on July 6th; pre-order it here and stream “Cosmic Serpent” below.
