Giovanni Spano may be an unfamiliar name to many (make that most – Ed) Über Rockers – unless, of course, you frequent the theatres of the West End, then you’ll recognize him as Ledoux in ‘Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical’. However, he is slowly becoming more widely known in melodic rock circles: his band DeVience, have just released their latest single, ‘Beyond The Bounds’, which crashed into the iTunes top ten rock chart following their appearance at the recent Isle Of Wight festival. Prior to that, David O’Neill caught up with the charismatic Italian singer backstage at Download to chat about the next stage of his career:
