ARCHETYPAL American hard rockers Little Caesar have broken the mould by signing with an Australian record company, Golden Robot.
The Ron Young-fronted band, best known for their 1990 cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Chain Of Fools”, will release their first album for the label – Eight – in March.
It will be preceded by the single “Time Enough For That” on February 5.
“Little Caesar is excited about joining the ever-growing Golden Robot Records family,” Young said in a statement.
“Being based in Australia, which has given birth to some of the greatest rock’n’roll bands, makes us excited to be part of their worldwide expansion.”
Mark Alexander-Erber, Golden Robot’s president and founder, added: “With Golden Robot Records currently expanding its artist roster to include bands based in the USA, Canada and Europe, when I met Ron Young in LA last year, and having been a fan of Little Caesar for many years, I knew that they would fit perfectly into the growing GRR family.
“Little Caesar being one of our first global international signings is exciting for myself and the label.”
Little Caesar tour Britain next month, playing Hard Rock Hell in Caernarfon between March 8 and March 11.
Golden Robot’s artist roster includes Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson, The Superjesus’ Sarah McLeod and Nick Barker’s The Heartache State.
