Former INXS singer JD Fortune re-surfaces in The Fell

FORMER INXS vocalist JD Fortune has resurfaced in a new project involving Mr Big bassist Billy Sheehan.

Fortune, a 44-year-old Canadian who won a televised talent contest to front the defunct Australian band between 2005 and 2011 before being sacked, has been named as the singer for The Fell.

The band is completed by guitarist Mike Krompass, and drummer Randy Cooke. Fortune replaces Anthony De La Torre. The group describes its material as alternative rock.

“Welcoming the new year in Nashville as we also welcome our new singer JD fortune (previously with INXS) to the band! ” The Fell’s facebook page said.

“We’re here in Nashville writing and recording the album to start off the year.”

Intriguingly, the band tagged Desmond Child – multi-platinum writer of such hits as “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “I Was Made For Loving You” in the post. Child lives in Nashville.

  1. JD was in INXS between 2005 and 2011, not 2003-2009.
