George Lynch: This Is What I Regret About How Dokken Reunion Turned Out

Dokken guitar champion George Lynch admitted he has certain regrets about how the latest reunion tour turned out, explaining to Ultimate Guitar:

dokken reunion

“Right, that [reunion] happened last year or it was earlier this year. I can’t remember. One show in South Dakota and six shows in Japan. It was great to get back together with everybody. It was fun and I wish we had more time to prepare quite honestly.

“When you throw a band back together and we haven’t been a band in I donít know how many years- 20 years or something?óand the first show was a live DVD with no rehearsal.

“I mean we had a little bit of rehearsal but no warm-up shows or anything. But it was good and the band was good. It would have been the right thing I think to ramp it up a little slower and get our feet under us.

“There’s gonna be a live record and one of the cool things is it’s gonna have a new studio track on there, which is great. A song Jeff, Don and I wrote. That Dokken chemistry is there and it sounds like a Dokken song in a more modern era.”
